A Letter to the Parents

Parents,
  Welcome to the school year.  I am extremely excited for this year and have very high expectations for what we will achieve.  I view our class like a team because it takes a lot of cooperation and determination from numerous people to be successful in education. It is my goal throughout this school year to educate your son or daughter to the best of my ability within the classroom.  Just as if we were all a "team," I cannot do it by myself.  I need the help of my "teammates."  Therefore, I need the help of the students to take responsibility for their education and actions within the classroom.
I am also asking parents to do their part by helping their children to complete homework, remember when things need to come back to school, and to be consistent with behaviors and consequences.  With all of us working together as a team, I know that this year will be a very positive, smooth, and successful one!
